A variety of fitness options are offered at the Christian Life Center. Invite your friends and neighbors – church membership is not required.
Seniors Exercising Together (S.E.T):
Join our community of seniors and active older adults for a total-body workout! SET classes are designed to increase flexibility, joint stability, balance, coordination, muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance. Our workouts combine aerobic, flexibility and strength training with plenty of fun and fellowship.
Drop-In Fitness Classes
Drop-In Fitness classes are offered at the Christian Life Center. Pre-registration is not necessary. You can register upon arrival or click here to print a registration form to bring with you.
Cardio/Strength is a blended class which offers a section of cardio to help you burn fat followed by toning moves to build muscle. Modifications are available to make this class suitable for all fitness levels.
Chair Yoga offers a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting in a chair, or standing using a chair for support.
Yoga Join us for one hour of drop in yoga! With regular practice, this class improves balance, concentration, and flexibility in an approach that may be modified for all experience and comfort levels. Beginners are welcome! Practice basic poses while releasing stress. Particular attention is paid to safe alignment. Bring water bottle, mat, and towel. This class will be on Wednesdays starting September 4, 2019 at 1:00pm.
Mini Core/Yoga Strength This combination class uses two highly effective and complimentary regimens- a two for one! For the first 20-30 minutes of each class the focus will be on the powerhouse/central core of the body, including abdominal muscles. Drawing on core focused exercise models, this portion of the class enables participants to increase functional muscle strength. For the last 30-40 minutes, the focus will be on using yoga based gentle stretches to release tension, increase flexibility, and prepare the body and mind for 5-10 minutes of relaxation. Bring a yoga mat, water, and towel. This class will be on Tuesdays starting October 8, 2019 at 10:30am.
Cost is $20 per month which also allows you to participate in any of the drop-in fitness classes.
