Why Give?
It is a privilege to give offerings to God - to return our time, talents, and treasure back to God. We recognize that God can do even more than we can imagine with our resources. God leads our church toward Kingdom building and community support in Ankeny and around the world.
Giving tithes and offerings to God is another way of saying "Thank you." Thank you God for life, for grace, for salvation, for mercy, for joy, for help, and for your faithfulness.

Giving to the General Mission Fund is one component of the "Respond" portion of our Method at Ankeny First. Respond opportunities guide us closer to Jesus as we serve each other in times of need. Some opportunities call for our resources, some of our talents, and others call of your time. Use the give button below to donate to our General Mission Fund.

April Mission of the Month In April, we will be collecting monetary donations that will support camp scholarships for children and youth. Attending the United Methodist Camps at Wesley Woods or Okoboji, or a week at Summer Games University can get expensive. These scholarships help our church family offset some of the costs of camp. Let's help kids have a great summer and help provide them with a life-long impact on their faith journey!

Our Malawi Partnership of Hope is a missional partnership with the Malawi UMC. Malawi is one of the poorest countries on the African continent, and your donations will enable clean water, schooling, and training for churches and community members across the country.

The DMARC FOOD PANTRY works in our community, and across the metro, enabling families to eat, children to learn, and adults to worry less about from where their next meal will come. You can give to DMARC monetarily through Ankeny First, or drop off items at the campus where you worship each week.

Bidwell Riverside Center and Hawthorn Hill officially merged into Families Forward, an organization where the original four programs - Bidwell Pantry, Child Development Center, New Directions Shelter, and The Home Connection - work together to provide compassionate, life-changing assistance to families and their path to self-sufficiency.

General Giving Questions
While we welcome online giving, we also know that not everyone is comfortable with making offerings online. Please feel free to stop by or contact one of our church offices for more information about mailing in or dropping off your gifts to God.
Yes. You can either use our online giving system to select the missional opportunity that you feel called by God to support, or contact our church office for more information.
You can visit the "Our Method" page for more information about how we feel God has called us to make disciples.
ONLINE Giving Questions
To give online, please follow these steps:
1. On the online giving page, click the Give Now button for the designation you wish to support.
2. In the amount box, type in the dollar amount you wish to give or select the amount.
3. Enter your name, email and billing address information.
4. Enter your card or bank account information.
5. Verify the summary of your giving information.
6. Click the Complete Gift button.
No. It is not necessary to create an online account to give online. Our system will automatically match your giving based on your billing information and email address.
However, if you choose to create an account, you will be able to edit your contact information, view your giving history, print a giving statement, edit/save payment information, and edit your recurring gifts. Additionally, with saved billing and payment information, you can complete your future online gifts in fewer steps.
To set up a recurring gift, please follow these steps:
1. From the online giving page, click the Give Now button for the designation you wish to support.
2. In the amount box, type in the dollar amount you wish to give or select the amount.
3. Using the Given drop-down list, select the frequency (weekly, monthly, etc.).
4. Enter the date you want the gift to start processing.
5. Specify an end date. The recurring gift will not process after the end date passes, but it can be edited. If you want the gift to continue indefinitely, skip over this step or click Remove this End Date.
6. Enter your name, email and billing address.
7. Enter in your card or bank account information.
8. Verify the summary of your giving information.
9. Click the Complete Gift button.
To edit your recurring gift, please follow these steps:
1. Login to your online giving account.
2. Click the Profile button.
3. Click on the Recurring Gifts link.
4. Click the Edit button to change your scheduled contribution.
5. On this screen, you can change your donation amount, the frequency of your gift, and the next start date.
6. If everything looks correct, click the Submit button.
To delete your recurring gift, please follow these steps:
1. Login to your online giving account.
2. Click the Profile button.
3. Click on the Recurring Gifts link.
4. Click the Delete button next to the scheduled contribution you wish to remove.
5. Click the OK button to confirm the delete.
6. Verify your schedule is no longer visible on the list.
Yes. To change the designation for your recurring gift, you can contact the church finance team, or you can delete your current recurring gift and create a new one for the designation you wish to support.
To make changes to your online giving profile, please follow these steps:
1. Login to your online giving account.
2. Click on the Profile link.
3. In the Contact Information section, you can update your phone number(s), email address, and mailing address.
5. After making any profile changes, make sure to click the Submit button under the Gift/Visibility Permission section.
6. Click the OK button.
To change to your online giving profile, please follow these steps:
1. Login to your online giving account.
2. Click on the Profile link.
3. In the Your Saved Payment Methods section, you can edit and delete your saved payment methods.
4. After making any payment changes, make sure to click the Submit button under the Gift/Visibility Permission section.
5. Click the OK button.
Yes. All gifts to God through Ankeny First UMC will be reflected on your giving statement so long as you identify yourself as the one initiating the offering.
