  • Blood Drive Challenge

    Next Date is November 26

For every pint of blood over 20 pints (which is our average), the Christian Care Cluster will donate money to Ankeny Community Schools FUEL (Filling Up Every Learner) account. This allows students with lunch account balances of negative $50 or more to access money for a meal. What a great way to respond to God’s love in our community! Our next blood drive will be on Tuesday, November 26 at our Uptown location, 1:30-6:00pm. Register at www.lifeservebloodcenter.orgwww.lifeservebloodcenter.org. Questions? Contact Judy Ruble, 515.729.9482.

  • September MISSION OF THE MONTH

Women at the Well & Ingathering Hygiene Kits

September Mission of the Month Has Two Focuses: Women at the Well & Ingathering Hygiene Kits

Women at the Well is a UM congregation located within the walls of the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women in Mitchellville, IA. Women gather together to share the teachings of Jesus Christ, and to experience the life-transforming spirit of God. Ankeny First has long been a partner with Women at the Well, which means that we have promised to support them financially as well as through our prayers. Our gifts will be a blessing and an encouragement to many. Please find a Mission of the Month offering envelope and the Welcome Center, or write "Women at the Well" in your check memo.

Ingathering Hygiene Kits—These kits help disaster victims reclaim their dignity and self-respect. When people can maintain personal hygiene, their overall health improves. Please find yellow supply lists with instructions at the Welcome Center, and return items or complete kits to the labeled bins by the end of September. The money for shipping can be returned to the church office.

  • BUILDING UP OUR PROPERTY MINISTRY TEAM

    SKILLED WORKERS ALWAYS NEEDED

The church is always in need of skilled labor to help our buildings and grounds remain safe, clean, and maintained. If you have experience (professional or DIY), this is a great opportunity for you to be in service with your church family so that we can focus on the ministry that happens every day at our facilities. The Property Ministry Team is an important, on-going ministry in our church.
